How to estimate how many tiles to buy
- Enter room length and width in inches, feet, centimeters, or millimeters.
- Enter one tile length and width and the matching tile unit.
- Set waste from 0 to 40 percent. Diagonals and busy patterns often need more than 10 percent.
- Read tiles before waste and the ceil buy count. Dry-lay on site. Estimate only.

How tile count is computed
Room and tile convert to inches. Raw count is room area over tile area. Waste multiplies. The buy row rounds up. Grout joints are not subtracted.
