What this seed quantity covers
You supply area and a label rate. The page scales pounds. New lawns and overseeds often use different rates on the same bag chart. Mowing time sketches sit on lawn mowing. Area helpers sit on square footage.
How seed pounds are computed
For per1000, lb = rate × (area / 1000). For perAcre, lb = rate × (area / 43560). Area is always square feet. The engine does not convert acres of land area for you before the rate step.
Mix type and bag labels
Cool-season blends, warm-season sod seed, and clover mixes publish different pounds. Always prefer the bag. Mulch cover for slopes can start from mulch.
Use cases
A 5000 sq ft yard at 5 lb per 1000 sq ft. Switching the same area to an acre rate for a farm mix label. Not a landscape design.
