GPU tests

Each page is a live WebGL scene. Start the official volume shader BM test, the interactive volume shader, a GPU stress run, or another workload. Then read FPS and stability on the device in front of you.

Before you run a test

  • Heavy scenes heat phones and thin laptops. Stop the run if the device is uncomfortably hot.
  • Close games, video, and other GPU tabs so the chip is not sharing hidden work.
  • Some kernel pages need WebGL 2. An older browser may refuse to start.
  • FPS drifts as the GPU warms. Wait between back-to-back runs if you are comparing settings.
  • AC power and a normal performance mode give more stable readings.

Volume shader and BM tests

The volume shader BM test is the official timed Mandelbulb kernel and ray marcher. It reports FPS, frame time, and stability at Simple, Standard, Advanced, or Extreme. On a phone, start with the interactive volume shader test (same shader, no timer) before you raise BM levels.

Press Start on a test page. The GPU does the work on this device. CZNull does not receive the frames.

Stress, particles, and other GPU loads

The GPU stress test repeats shader work without a volumetric picture. Particles, texture bandwidth, WebGL 2 kernels, ray marching, and 2D physics sit on the list below. Open the test that matches what you want to measure.

GPU test questions

What is a volume shader BM test?
The official CZNull WebGL volume shader: a Mandelbulb-style kernel and ray marcher that reports FPS. On CZNull it lives at /tests/vsbm/. You run it in the browser.
Can I run these tests on Android or iPhone?
Yes, in a mobile browser with WebGL. Start with the interactive volume shader test and a short GPU stress duration. Phones throttle sooner than desktop GPUs.
Is the volume shader BM test safe?
It raises temperature. Stop if the device is uncomfortably hot or the display fails. This is informal testing, not a manufacturer burn-in program.
Do I need to install an app?
No. These pages are a website. There is no APK from CZNull.
