What fat grams mean here
Dietary fat is denser than protein or carbohydrate at 9 kcal per gram. This page converts a percent of your calorie budget into that gram total. It does not separate saturated, mono, or polyunsaturated fats.
How fat grams are computed
fat kcal = calories × (fatPct / 100). grams = fat kcal / 9. The results also mention a common adult AMDR-style sketch of about 20-35% of energy from fat for context only.
Fat beside other macro tools
Entities include calorie budget, fat percent, and fat grams. Full three-way splits live on macros. Protein grams sit on protein intake. Carbohydrate grams sit on carbohydrate intake. Daily energy is TDEE.
Use cases
Turning 30% of 2000 kcal into a fat gram line. Comparing 25% and 35% shares for the same calorie total. Teaching the 9 kcal/g factor. Not a treatment plan for blood lipids.
Default numbers
At 2000 kcal and 30% fat, fat energy is 600 kcal and grams = 600 / 9 ≈ 67 g.
Limits
Essential fatty acid needs, gallbladder disease, and clinical lipid targets are out of scope. Informational only. See the disclaimer. CZNull does not receive the calories.
