What this calories burned page estimates
This page multiplies a metabolic equivalent (MET) by body mass in kilograms and time in hours. One MET is roughly resting energy cost. Higher MET values mean harder work relative to rest. The result is a session kilocalorie sketch, not a chamber measurement.
How MET calories are computed
kcal ≈ MET × body kg × hours. Minutes you type become hours by dividing by 60. If you leave the MET override empty, the selected activity supplies a Compendium-style default (for example walking MET 3.5, moderate cycling MET 6.8). Overrides must stay above 0 and at most 30.

Default numbers
At 70 kg for 60 minutes of general activity (MET 5), hours equal 1, so kcal ≈ 5 × 70 × 1 = 350. The same hour of brisk walking (MET 4.3) lands near 301 kcal.
Limits
