What walking calories covers
This page estimates energy for level walking at two pace bands. It is aimed at everyday walks and lunch-break loops, not loaded backpacking. Brisk walking raises MET while the formula structure stays identical.
How walking calories are built
kcal ≈ MET × body kg × hours. Casual walking uses MET 3.5. Brisk walking uses MET 4.3. A 60-minute entry is one hour in the product.
