What prorated rent covers
Move-in mid-month or move-out early often bills only the occupied days. This page multiplies monthly rent by the occupied fraction of the month length you choose.
Proration formula
Prorated rent = monthly rent × (days occupied / days in month). Daily rate = monthly rent / days in month. Occupied days cannot exceed days in the month.
