What bar to PSI does
This spoke locks pressure on bar to PSI. A bar is a round metric multiple of the pascal, 1e5 Pa, close to but not equal to one standard atmosphere (101325 Pa). PSI uses 6894.757293168 Pa per pound-force per square inch. One bar is about 14.5038 PSI. The reverse spoke is PSI to bar.

psi = bar × 100000 / 6894.757293168. bar = psi × 6894.757293168 / 100000. kPa = bar × 100. atm = bar × 100000 / 101325. The engine does not know whether your number is gauge or absolute. Type the same kind on both sides.
Bar, atmosphere, and gauge pressure
Hydraulic and tire specs outside the US often quote bar. US tires quote PSI. 1 atm is 1.01325 bar, not 1 bar. A gauge that reads 2 bar above air is not 2 bar absolute. This converter will not add 14.7 PSI for you.
