What grams to kilograms does
This spoke locks mass on grams to kilograms. The kilogram is the SI base unit. The gram is 1/1000 of that unit, so the factor is exact in decimal. kg = g / 1000. g = kg × 1000. mg = g × 1000. t = kg / 1000. Swap exchanges From and To. Do not treat 1000 g as 1 litre unless you also have density. Water is close, oil is not.
Prefix versus imperial mass
Moving g to kg never needs the pound. Moving g to oz does. Nutrition kcal is energy, not mass, and lives on the energy converter. A milligram dose is still mass: change From to Milligrams.
