- Read future value, contributions, interest earned, and effective annual rate.
- Treat the result as a fixed-rate sketch. It is not tax advice or an IRS filing.

What this Roth IRA page projects
A Roth IRA is a tax-advantaged account in real life. This page only compounds the numbers you type. It labels the run as a Roth sketch and does not apply income phaseouts, contribution caps, or qualified distribution rules.
Formulas used
Future value of the starting balance uses standard compound interest. Each contribution adds an ordinary or due annuity at the same periodic rate. Effective annual rate comes from the compounding frequency you select.

Use cases
Sketch long-horizon growth from a starting Roth balance and monthly deposits. Compare contribution timing at the start or end of each period. Not a conversion analysis or a tax filing.
Worked example
Start with $25,000, 7% annual return, 25 years, monthly compounding, and $500 end-of-month contributions. The page compounds the balance and deposits at that fixed rate and reports future value and interest earned.
Limits
No IRS limits, income phaseouts, 5-year clocks, or state tax. Fees and market sequence risk are omitted. Informational, not tax or investment advice. See the disclaimer.
